SOCIAL TONGITS TERMS, RULES & PAYOUT
- ONE PLAYER, ONE ACCOUNT
Each player is allowed to create and use only 1 account. Creation and use of multiple accounts is against our rules and policy and will result in the player being banned and all his credits being forfeited.
- JOINING/LEAVING A TABLE
- In order to join a table, the player must have enough in his/her Player Account to bring the equivalent of 3 games’ ante plus Reserve to the table for play. While a player can choose to bring more than this amount to the table when first joining, this is the minimum amount that must be brought to the table.
- After a player leaves a table, the amount of his/her Table Account is added to what is referred to as the Player Account, which is the total balance of funds available to the player.
- If a seat is vacated voluntarily or involuntarily, and there is a Table Jackpot amount, a new player may seat down but must pay the TJP amount
- If a player leaves the table any time after that player has anted or before the end of the game, that player will be automatically folded. But, that player’s escrowed reserve amount stays at the table.
- When a player folds due to leaving the table, that player is required to pay all win amounts due to the winner at the end of the game, including the amount for being folded plus any other win types according to the winner’s hand.
- All amounts due in this case are taken from the player’s Reserve amount which remains at the table if the player leaves and folds. Any remaining balance of the Reserve that isn’t paid to the winner is returned to that player’s account at the end of the game.
- HOW TO JOIN A TABLE
- Manually select a Game Table or use Quick Play to instantly join a table.
- Place the amount of ANTE required.
- The game will start once everyone has placed his or her ANTE.
- The HITTER (H) is randomly selected on the first round, but for all succeeding rounds, the latest winner will be the HITTER (H).
- The first player starts the game by DUMPING a card or MELDING.
- You (or the next player) can either pick a card from the DUMP or DECK. You must create a MELD if ever you picked a DUMPED card.
- Your game will continue until someone initiates a DRAW, the DECK of cards runs out of cards, or someone invokes Tong-its.
- Dispose all of your cards in your hand before your opponents initiate a DRAW or the DECK of cards runs out!
- GAME WIN (HAND WINNING)
When the winner wins the game by one of the Win Types described below, the winner wins the Pot, which is the total of all antes contributed by all players when the game starts, plus all Bonuses, minus Table fees (rake). see below for details:
4.1 Win Type Payouts
Depending on the Win Type, the winner will win additional amounts from each of the losers according to that Win Type (which is deducted from the loser’s Table Balance at the end of the game), as indicated in the Win Types section below.
4.1. 1 Win by Tongits (5%)
If a player discards his/her last card and has melded all of his/her other cards to the table, including by connecting to opponents’ or the exposed card sets (sapaw), then the player wins by Tongits (this is similar to declaring Rummy with the discard rule).
If the winner wins by Tongits, the winner wins an amount equal to 5% of the original ante from each of the losers, along with any applicable Additional Payouts as described above.
4.1.2. Win by Draw (5% or 10%)
If a player thinks his/her hand has fewer points than any of the other players, he/she can initiate a Draw. If a Draw is initiated by a player, the other players must choose to either Fight or Fold. If a player chooses to Fold, he/she automatically loses the game and must pay the additional Fold amount (5%) and any other applicable payouts. If a player chooses to Fight, he/she challenges the Draw to see who has lower points. When all players choose to fight/fold, those who choose to Fight will have their points compared against the player who initiated the Draw. Whoever has the lowest number of points in his/her hand wins the applicable Draw award from the other players, along with any applicable Additional Payouts as described above. If a player does not fold and decides to accept the challenge, but loses the challenge, that player will pay an additional 10% of the original ante to the winner.
4.1.3 Win by Deck Run Out (5%)
If all 52 cards in the deck have been used and a player has not already won by any other win type, the player with the lowest number of points in his/her hand wins (points are calculated by adding up the values of the cards in hand, with Ace always being one and all face cards being 10).
If the winner wins by Deck Run Out, the winner wins an additional 5% of the original ante from each of the losers.
4.1.4 Deck Run Out, Tie Rules)
In the event that 2 players have the same number of lowest points when the deck runs out, the player, who drew the last card in the deck will be the winner of the tie. In the event that 2 players have the same number of lowest points when the deck runs out and neither of them chose the last card in the deck, the player to the left (clockwise) of the player who drew the last card in the deck will be the winner of the tie. In the event that all 3 players have the same number of points when the deck runs out, the player who drew the last card in the deck will be the winner of the tie.
- ADDITIONAL BONUS PAYOUTS
In addition to the winning the Pot and Win Type payout, if the winner has any of the following combinations in his/her hand at the time of winning by one of the Win Types described below, the player will win these additional amounts from the losers (which is deducted from the loser’s Table Balance at the end of the game)
- 1 Wild Card (5%)
At the top of the game room there is a Wild Card designator that will display a K or an A (King or Ace, respectively, and is referred to as the Bonus Card in the Win Results screen). If the turn direction is clockwise, the wild card is an Ace; if counterclockwise then the wild card is a King. For each wild card of any suit the winner has in his/her hand or melded on to the table, the winner wins an additional amount equal to 20% of the original ante from each of the losers.
5.2 Secret (5%)
If a player attempts to meld 4 of a Kind aka Quadra to the table in one play, the system will ask if the player wants to keep it as a Secret . If No is chosen, the 4 of a Kind are melded to the table in the traditional manner and no additional winnings are awarded to the player for melding the 4 of a Kind. If Yes is chosen, these four cards act like an internal meld, meaning, they count as if the meld was placed on the table in all other cases, but the cards appear to stay in your hand and are not visible to other players as a meld. If the winner has a Secret, the winner wins an additional amount equal to 20% of the original ante from each of the losers.
5.3 Escalera (5%)
If the winner is dealt 5, 6 or 7 cards in a straight FLUSH (a.k.a. ESCALERA), meaning sequential cards of the same suit (e.g. King of Hearts, followed by Queen of Hearts, followed by Jack of Hearts, followed by 10 of Hearts, followed 9 of Hearts), and melds this escalera to the table, the winner wins an additional amount equal to 20% of the original ante from each of the losers.
5.4 Burned (5%)
If a loser gets BURNED, meaning he or she has not melded any group of cards to the table or created a Secret when a DRAW is initiated or the DECK RUNS OUT, that loser must pay an additional amount equal to 40% of the original ante to the winner. The only case where a Loser will pay both a Burn and Fold is if the Winner initiates a Draw and the Loser has no melds on the table or a Secret in their hand.
5.5 Fold (5%)
If a Draw is initiated by a player, the other players must choose to either Fight or Fold. If a player chooses to Fold, he/she automatically loses the game and must pay the additional Fold amount (5%) and any other applicable payouts.
